NEVER JUDGE

BY: LIZ HARDIE

Never judge anyone, it is not your place

You do not know the story, behind the tears, smile or exhaustion on a face

Some people show happiness, while others show sadness

Some have their shit together, and others are a hot mess

Everyone handles their issues in different ways

Some have amazing days while others terrible days

Death, divorce, loss of a job, addiction to name a few

Many really just don’t know how they’ll make it through

But somehow they get up everday and put that fake smile on

Or are just miserable, wondering and questioning why it’s all gone

Never judge anyone, many may just be born with a simple or sad look

But weren’t we always taught to never judge the title of a book

Do not push anyone away, never judge, and give everyone a chance

Listen and talk without judgement, don’t base an opinion on first glance

You may be surprised at what you find out

When you give someone a chance, you realize what they are all about

Instead of believing the stories of someone or something that you hear

Guaranteed for most they were twisted by someone using assumptions or who were once near

For some it lifts others up when they tear others down

They don’t want to be targeted, like the bad people in town

Don’t get me wrong, not all will be worth the time and this we may see

Never judge, have an open mind, but never allow others to make that choice for you or me
